Hi! My name is Perran and I am the owner of Three Shires Chimney Services.

Before becoming a chimney sweep, I worked in the hospitality, retail and service industries for over 15 years, including 7 years as a Royal Mail Postman. It was during this time I developed a passion for good customer service: I take pride in being professional, efficient and communicating with customers to understand their requirements.
 
As a chimney sweep, I love the variety and challenge that the job brings. I can build relationships with clients while gaining the satisfaction of knowing I have left someone’s home a safer and cleaner place. I am extremely thorough when it comes to cleanliness and take care to ensure that peoples’ homes are left exactly as I found them.
 
The history of chimney sweeping is fascinating and it is amazing to see how much the architecture of buildings can affect the job that I do. To my surprise, I recently discovered that my Great Grandfather, Ranford Cousins, was also a chimney sweep in Derby in the 1960s. Although I never knew him, it is wonderful to be able to continue in his steps.
